Several rounds of heavy rain Saturday afternoon and evening resulted in flooding on Third Street. Chillicothe Police closed Third Street, near the old prison site, due to nearly three feet of water on the road. The road was re-opened later that evening.
With the possibility of heavy rains in the forecast, Chillicothe Police remind motorist that they could find flooded roads over the next couple days. You are reminded you should not drive through flooded roads as you can not tell how deep the water is and what the condition of the road is below the surface.
