The Chillicothe R-II School Board heard an update on the budget and some of the funding from the state Tuesday night. Dr. Roger Barnes says with the legislative session complete, they have a better grasp on the funding from the state.
Barnes told the board the state did include a 5% increase for bus transportation.
A special meeting will be held on June 27th at 6:30 to handle the budget.
Barnes says that will be his last meeting as he retires at the end of the school year.
