Chillicothe Board of Public Works approved a bid for a piece of equipment for the Electric Services Department at Thursday’s meeting CMU General Manage Jim Gillilan says the equipment is called a vacuum excavator.
The low bid was $113,985. That was above the budget of the equipment. They will send the bid to the Chillicothe City Council next week for approval.
Gillilan says the bid period of the old Steam Plant demolition is still open. Previous bids had been rejected and the project spec was clarified and was sent back out to bid. He says they hope to see more bids this time around.
Bids are due by 1:00 pm on May 29th.
