The Chillicothe City Council continues to do local work on the local requirements for Medical Marijuana.
The Council has a approved an ordinance regarding the issue of sales and dispensaries in the city limits. City Administrator Darren Chappel explains the rules put in place to bring the city to compliance with the Medical Marijuana State Constitutional Amendment.
Chappel says the dispensary can not be in a residential area or with in 100 feet of schools, day cares or churches. The hours must be with in 8:00am to 9:00pm.
He says dozens of businesses are looking at setting up shop in Chillicothe, but says the town will only have one or two of the businesses in town.
