Mudcats Take Series with Joplin

The Chillicothe Mudcats baseball team beat the Outlaws at Joplin 9-7 to win the three game road series.
The Mudcats scored in the first inning off a Nolan Metcalf RBI Double.
After giving up four runs, Metcalf again stepped up offensively with his second home of the season, this one scoring two runs.
It would be the ninth inning before the Mudcats bats came back into play. Down 7-6, Tate Wargo had a single, stole two bases and after an intentional walk to Metcalf, Blaine Ray had an RBI single.
Jack Grace then hit a single that brought home two runs for the 9-7 win.
Scott Duensing had the start and went four innings. Jack Albright pitched the final five innings.
The 7-3 Mudcats have a road double header at Ozark tonight. First pitch at 5:00 on KCHI.
