Jefferson City Blanks Mudcats Baseball

The Chillicothe Mudcats lost to the Jefferson City Renegades 5-0 on Tuesday.
The Mudcats suffered their first shutout of the season last night. Dom Trevino led it off with a single in the 1st and was stranded in the inning. Logan Eickhoff singled in the 4th and tripled in the 6th to go 2-4. Chet Merritt singled in the second and the 7th as him and Eickhoff combined to go 4-8 and accounted for 4 of the Mudcats 6 hits. The Cats started Tyler Ingram for the 1st time this season and he managed 4 and 1/3 giving up 4 runs. Renegades pitcher Dylan Dunbar started for the 2nd time this season against Chillicothe and went 6 and 2/3 of scoreless ball to hand the Mudcats their second straight loss.
The Mudcats are now 9-6 and play the Joplin Outlaws in Chillicothe tonight. Patrick Wheeler will have the first pitch for you at 7:05 pm on KCHI and streamed live on KCHI.com
