Funds are available from the Missouri Department of Transportation for improvements to local roads.
Chillicothe City Administrator Darren Chappell says the money comes from an old program.
He says it is difficult to qualify for the fund. He thinks Chillicothe has a project that will qualify for the money.
Chappell says a lot of work is needed to get the funds. He said the money could make the scheduled improvements a more permanent fix for Litton Road.
