Court Date in Shooting of Trenton Cop

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for the Trenton man accused in the June shooting of a Trenton Police Officer.
Jamey Aaron Griffin age 38 of Trenton will have a preliminary hearing setting by video on August 6th at 11:30am. The case is being held in Daviess County.
Griffin has been charged with Felony Armed Criminal Action, Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Felony Assault 1st Degree or Attempt Serious Physical Injury or Special Victim.
The charges against Griffin are a result of a shooting of Trenton Police Officer Jasmine Diab earlier in June. The officer was transporting Griffin to St Joseph when he allegedly took her gun and shot her in the abdomen.
Diab has undergone multiple surgeries and rehabilitation. She is now back in Trenton.
