An accident Friday morning near Breckenridge left one driver with moderate injuries. The accident happened at about 8:45 am on US 36 when 27-year-old Lester Mead of Pleasantville, Iowa was turning to go north on Route M and hit the read of a westbound vehicle driven by 31-year-old Dakota VanLandingham of Clark, MO. The accident caused the VanLandingham vehicle to catch fire and the vehicle was engulfed in flames. Vanlandingham escaped with moderate injuries and was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment. Mead was not injured.
