The City of Chillicothe has approved a resolution and provided a letter to the State of Missouri for one company that is seeking a license for growing and manufacturing medical marijuana. City Administrator Darin Chappell says they are the only one to make that formal request at this time.
Chappell says the license application period begins August 3rd and the dispensaries will not open until after the first of the year. But, he says they will need something to sell.
Chappell says the city has had many inquiries about dispensaries in the community.
