Sales Tax Revenues Dip In May & June

The City of Chillicothe had a dip in sales tax revenues earlier this year.  City Administrator Darin Chappell says the numbers are down for May and early June.

Chappell says the sales tax, year to date, is down about $128,000 compared to the budget.

He says the city has adequate reserves to handle this type of shortfall.

He says he and the department heads review the budget regularly and will make adjustments as needed throughout the fiscal year.
