Chillicothe Police Respond To More Than 150 Calls For Service

The Chillicothe Police Department had 154 calls for service Thursday, including a couple of accidents.

12:01 am, officers investigated an accident in the 1200 block of North Washington with vehicle striking utility pole. Investigation revealed the individual had been consuming intoxicants.  The driver was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated, and was cited for Driving while intoxicated and Driving while Suspended/Revoked and was released.  The driver had minor injuries from the collision.

7:16am, A trailer that was being towed, came loose from the towing unit, overturned and damaged the roadway near the Social Security Office on Mitchell Road.  No injuries were reported.

9:14am, Officers responded to a business in the 200 block of West Business 36 Highway for report of a man acting erratic and saying he had a shotgun and a lot of ammunition… After investigating, officers found he had just been terminated from a job for erratic behavior.

9:46 am, Officer recovered an abandoned bicycle in the 100 block of Graves Street….bicycle can be described and claimed by the owner….

11:45am, Parking complaint in the area of Mechanic and Trenton Street.  Subject contacted and moving vehicle….

2:45pm, Trash fire at residence in the area of Frederick and Cowgill….Subject advised of ordinance violation.

3:21pm, Reported fraud involving counterfeit money at a business at Ryan Lane and Washington.

5:03pm, Officer received report of stealing from a resident in the 1500 block of Hickory Drive.  The investigation continues

5:15pm, Officers out in 800 block of Walnut Street reference possible recovery of stolen property.  The investigation continues.

11:33pm, Motorist assist at Broadway and Jackson Streets.  Vehicle moved from roadway.
