Highway 41, south of US 24 will NOT close next week. The road had only been scheduled to close IF US 65 was open south of Carrollton. US 65 remains closed and Highway 41 will remain open to a single lane of traffic while the roadbed repairs continue.
MoDOT and their contractor had planned to close Highway 41 if US 65 opened and the electronic message signs were accidentally turned on with that message. MoDOT apologizes for the error and confusion.
