Ameren Moving Forward On Solar & Storage Near Utica

Ameren Missouri is moving forward with plans for a Solar Farm west of Utica.  Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says they met with Ameren officials this week about the site.

Douglas says Ameren plans to spend about $68 million on the three facilities.

Douglas says they are unsure if this will mean additional tax revenue for the county, as there is a dispute in the courts over the law that exempts the solar sites from taxes and if that follows the state’s constitution.
