Flooding On the Grand River

Floodwaters have subsided on a portion of the Grand River.

The National Weather Service reports the Grand River at Sumner is back below flood stage.  The river crested late Monday morning at 27.79 feet and has since dropped back below flood stage of 26 feet and is expected to continue dropping.

At Brunswick, the river rose above flood stage of 19 feet about 6:00 pm Monday.  Minor flooding is occurring and the river level this morning is expected to be near 19.7 feet.  Flooding should continue until about 7:00 pm today.
