Single Vehicle Accidents Leave Five With Minor Injuries

Three single-vehicle accidents around the area Friday left a total of five injured.

At about 4:20 pm in Daviess County, an accident on NW Camden Road near Fairport, left the driver, 39-year-old Stephanie Robertson of Omaha injured.  The report states she was westbound and drove off the north side of the road, overcorrected and crossed the road several times before she ended up off the south side of the road.  She was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.

At about 10:10 pm in Livingston County, Jennifer Simmons of Chillicothe was injured when she was westbound on US 36 and ran into the median, she overcorrected and went off the north side of the road and her car overturned.  She was not wearing a safety belt.  She was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

An accident at about 1:40 this morning left three Salisbury teens with minor injuries.  Troopers report 17-year-old Alyssa Johnson was eastbound on Twichell Road, southwest of Marceline when she lost control on a muddy road and hit a guard rail and went off a bridge into a creek.  Johnson and her passengers, 18-year-old Kassie Johnson and 17-year-old Brittney Tweedy, were all taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital for treatment.  They were wearing safety belts.
