CHS Softball loses Slug-fest

The Chillicothe Girls softball team came up short in a sluggers battle, falling to the Brunswick-Keytesville co-op team 15-9. The game was scheduled a few days ago to help fill a Lady Hornets schedule that lost numerous games due to weather.
Both teams scored three runs in the first inning. Chillicothe added five runs in the bottom of the second. Brunswick-Keytesville added five in the fourth and six runs in the sixth inning to pick up the win and remain undefeated.
Chillicothe used three pitchers in the game which gave up 15 runs off 16 hits with three walks and five strike outs. They also gave up two home runs.
At the plate for Chillicothe Kennedy Corzette, Kirsten Dunn and Kiley Kirkpatrick each had a double. Mika Hibner and Brooke Horton each had three singles, and Sophia Luetticke had two singles.
The Lady Hornets also had seven stolen bases.
