Chillicothe Police Report Includes Several Thefts From Vehicles

Chillicothe Police responded to 181 calls for service between Saturday and Sunday.  Among the calls were 9 reports of items stolen from vehicles.  The locations include: three on Southwest Drive, two on Hillcrest, two on Brunam Road, and one each on Lakeview and Rinehart.  The Chillicothe Police Department asks you to please lock your vehicle and remove items of value or hide them from plain sight.

Some of the calls for the weekend, including Sunday night, include:

Friday

7:39 PM, a person known to be armed and dangerous, and with warrants, was located inside a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  Officer responded to the business and the person attempted to flee but was arrested.  They were found to be in possession of stolen property from the business, as well as methamphetamine.  The person was held at the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail.

10:13 PM, A juvenile with a dog bite was at the hospital.  The incident occurred in the 400 block of Elm Street.  The juvenile was treated for the injury and the animal was quarantined per policy.

Saturday,

2:27 PM, Officer called to a business in the 400 block of North Washington after someone called the business and threatened the business and the employee.  Investigation continues.

7:29 PM, Officers called to the domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Orchard.  The incident was verbal in nature.

7:29 PM, Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of North Washington Street.  The driver was issued a warning for speeding.

8:09 PM, Officer conducted a traffic stop at Mohawk and Hornet.  The driver was issued a warning for defective equipment.

8:55 PM, Officers called to a single-vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of US 36 east of US 65.  Officers reported a female driver lost control of her motor vehicle and struck the center guardrail.

Sunday,

2:42 AM, Officer contacted a subject sitting in a vehicle near Fairview and Broken Arrow.  A woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.  She was processed, cited and released.

12:15 PM, Officers responded to a business in the 200 block of South Washington for a report of someone with a warrant at the business.  The person was located and arrested without incident.

7:48 PM, Officers called to a the1600 block of Maple Street to a report of a Domestic Assault.  A man was arrested for domestic assault.  He was processed and transferred to the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail.
