Scam and Domestic Disturbances In Police Report

Chillicothe Police had 97 calls for service Thursday.

1:13 am, Officers checked the well-being of subjects on bicycles at Jackson and Broadway.  They were OK

1:25 am, Officers observed an open door on an R/V that was parked at Bridge and Commercial.  The owner was contacted.

1:55 am, Officers performed a building security check in the 900 block of Dickinson.  A light was on in the building.  All Secure.

7:25 am, Officers reported to the area of Hogan St. for a young girl knocking on a door and asking for a ride to school.  The girl was located at Cooper and Dickinson and continued to school.  Info will be given to School Resource Officer

8:04  am, Alarm activated in the 1700 block of Bryan Street – false alarm.  The alarm sounded again 30 minutes later.

8:35 am, Report of disturbance in the 200 block of Webster Street.  Determined to have been between a couple and actually in the 200 block of Gale Street.  The incident was verbal and no one arrested

12:32 pm, Officers were out in the 1000 block of Olive for a report of theft of utilities.  Unable to make contact with the suspect.

12:36 pm, Report of a suspicious person in the 500 block of Washington Street.  Officer unable to locate the person.

4:34 pm, Officers assisted with traffic control for Fire Department on house fire in 200 block of Crescent Drive

7:33 pm, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1500 block of Hickory Drive.  The incident was verbal.  A third party, not involved in the disturbance, was arrested on a warrant for Hit & Run, They were processed and released after posting bond.

8:12 pm, Subject in PD with letter and check that appeared to be a scam wanting the recipient to put the check in the bank and then draw money for doing so.   DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMS!!! When someone offers you something for nothing, —-don’t do it!…

10:25 pm, Officer assisted a motorist at 190 and US 65.

10:46 pm, Commercial business alarm in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street.  Employee activation by accident
