Four Injured In Three Accidents Around The Area

State Troopers report four people were injured in three accidents around the region on Wednesday.

At about 7:45 am in Linn County, two Linneus residents were injured when the Suburban driven by 46-year-old Tammy Stamphill of Linneus was northbound on Missouri Highway 5 near Linneus and swerved to avoid a deer and ran off the road and her vehicle overturned.  Two passengers, a 4-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, were taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  They were all wearing safety belts.

At about 2:30 pm in Lafayette County, near Santa Fe Elementary School, an accident left one driver injured.  State Troopers report 28-year-old Alyssa Plaggmyer of Waverly was eastbound and had stopped to make a left turn, when 60-year-old Alvin Harman of Carrollton ran into the back of her vehicle.  Plaggmeyer was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

At about 7:15 pm in Caldwell County, a single-vehicle accident near Cowgill left the driver with moderate injuries.  Fifty-four-year-old Manley Wilson of Hamilton was southbound on Route B when he struck a deer in the roadway, his UTV ran off the road and overturned.  Wilson was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.
