A Green City woman was injured in an accident on Highway B near Pollock Monday afternoon. State Troopers report the two-vehicle accident happened about 4:25 pm, when 63-year-old Douglas Childers of Green City was eastbound and pulled into the path of the car driven by 35-year-old Jeanie Kinney of Green City and was struck on the driver’s side. Childers was not injured. Kinney was taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Neither driver was wearing a safety belt.
Troopers also reported one arrest in the area Monday. In Daviess County at about 8:30 am, troopers arrested 21-year-old Brandon Pic-Rivera of Kansas City for alleged speeding and on a Clay County warrant for alleged illegal wildlife. He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending the posting of bond.
