Chillicothe’s lone runner in the MSHSAA Cross Country Championships finished in the upper half of the competitors on Saturday.
Lady Hornet Freshman Aliyah Briner was 75th out of 175 runners in the Class 3 Girls Race. Briner’s time was 20:51.9.
A Freshman from St Louis M.I.C.D.S. was the individual champion in a time of 18:13.8. MICDS was also the girls team champions.

Class 2 Girls individual state champion is Alex Sharp, a Brookfield Sophomore who finished in a time of 19:07 in a field of 172 runners
Class 3 Boys individual state champion was Michael Rebello of Excelsior Springs in a time of 15:29. Maryville of the MEC was 6th in the team competition.
Girls Class 1 area competitors were Kiera Holcer of Meadville who was 72nd, Krysta Meyers of Meadville 77th place, and Karla Cox of Braymer in 110th place out of 166 runners.
Class 1 Boys area runners included Gavin Fitzwater of Polo 47th, Parker Burton of Meadville in 137th place and Dominik Gannan in 152nd place out of 177 runners.
