An accident Thursday night in Caldwell County left a Chillicothe man with minor injuries. State Troopers report the Car/Deer accident happened on US 36, east of Breckenridge at about 10:10 pm. Twenty-six-year-old Matthew Nefferdorf was eastbound when he struck a deer in the roadway. Nefferdorf was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. He was wearing a safety belt at the time of the accident.
