Council Approves Release Of Funds For Fire Damaged Home

Funds meant to be held by the city of Chillicothe until a fire-damaged home is repaired were released by the City Council on Monday.  The owners of the house in the 200 block of Crescent Drive, Michelle and Trent Epperson, requested the release of the funds so they could complete the sale of the home to Austin Minick.

The Epperson’s and Minick were in attendance to comment and answer questions.

The City Attorney recommended the fund be paid to the city, and they could either endorse the check or issue a check to the current owners at the time of closing and the new owner would sign the surety bond contract with the city.
