Chillicothe Police Report For Wednesday

Chillicothe Police handles 111 calls for service Wednesday.

12:50 am, Noise complaint in the 10 block of 11th Street.  An officer checked the area and found no ongoing noise.

3:16 am, Report of someone knocking on doors in the 200 block of Virginia Avenue and then running.  Someone was seen walking near Third and Southwest Drive and was contacted but denied it was him.

4:16 am, Officer was out at the PD Firing Range, Checking premises.

7:51 am, Residential alarm in the 500 block of Elmdale Road.  Premises were checked and OK.

8:05 am, Officers checked residence near Samuel and Smith Streets because of an open door.  Nothing & no one located.

10:04 am, Officer assisted another agency by checking a residence for a vehicle.  The vehicle was not observed at the location and the agency notified.

10:23 am, Officer performed a motorist assist in the 600 block of W. Business 36 Highway.

11:00 am, Officer out in the 1200 block of Green Street checking on young people that had called the PD, stating they were home alone.  Officers checked the location and a parent was present.

11:00 am, Officers checking report of a suspicious person in the area of May Dog Park.  The person was OK.

11:02 am, Officer out in the 900 block of N. Washington on an investigation.

11:54 am, Officer out in the 1000block of Graves Street to pick up recovered property.

1:05 pm, Officer performed a motorist assist at Washington and Webster Streets.

2:14 pm, Officer responded to the 200 block of Gale Street in reference to a possible disturbance.  No disturbance located and no report.

6:56 pm, Officers reported to Hedrick Medical Center in reference a suspicious person outside the building.  Officers made contact with the subject and found that the subject was wanted on a Saline County warrant.  They were released to a Saline County Deputy.

7:47 pm, Report of a shoplifter at a business in the 2600 block of N. Washington Street.  Officers contacted the suspect and the business and report was deemed as unfounded.

8:08 pm, Officer checking well-being of someone in the 1500 block of Springhill Street.  Everything OK.

9:24 pm, Officers reported to the 400 block of Elm Street for a reported assault.  On arrival and investigation, no assault was found to have occurred.  incident determined to be peace disturbance.  Information received and a report was taken.

10:22 pm, Officer assisted another agency Officer on a traffic stop at Mitchell Avenue and Highway 36.
