Chillicothe Schools Will Pursue Levy Increase In April Election

The Chillicothe R-II School Board will place the Levy Increase before the voters in the April Election.  The School Board heard a request by the Chillicothe City Administrator at Tuesday’s School Board meeting.

Chappell requested the School Board delay placing this before the voters until a later election, possible August.

Superintendent Dan Wiebers says the school board considered the request and chose to move forward with the plan for an April Ballot Issue.

Several factors went into the decision, including the additional cost of an election that is not already part of their budget.
