Hornets Take 3rd at LeBlond Tournament

Chillicothe’s Boys Basketball team used a strong defense against a “vertically challenged” Bishop LeBlond team to win the LeBlond Tournament Boys 3rd Place game 60 to 36.
The Hornets scored the first nine points in the game and led by double figures for most of the game against a LeBlond team that had just one player over
that was over six feet tall.
Coach Tim Cool said his team’s defense helped win the game.

Chillicothe led by 20 or more points for almost the entire fourth quarter. Westley Brandsgaard led Chillicothe with 22 points, CJ Pfaff had 15 points, Mason Baxter and Wyatt Brandsgaard each had five points. Hayden Simmer and Joseph Tullos each had four points. Bradley Riley and Griff Bonderer each had two points and Cayden Potter with 1.
In a unique statistic, LeBlond went zero for 15 in two point shot attempts. All of their points came from 18 free throws made and six trey shots made.
