Winter Weather Returning To Chillicothe

Winter weather will likely return to Chillicothe this weekend.  The National Weather Service says we can expect a wintery mix beginning Friday.  That could mean less than a 10th of an inch of Ice, followed by snowfall that could range from three to eight inches across the region.

The current version of the forecast shows the highest amounts of snow to the northeast of Chillicothe, near the Kirksville area and the least to the northwest, near Rockport.

Flash flood watches are also in effect for Friday morning to Saturday morning for counties to our south, including Carroll and Chariton County, where up to three inches of rain is expected through Saturday morning.

Stay tuned to KCHI as we follow the developing weather system for the weekend.
