Weekend Chillicothe Police Report

The Chillicothe Police Department report for the weekend included more than 100 calls for service.

Saturday, there were 63 calls for service and one arrest.

8:47 am, Officers out in the 2500 block of Country Club Drive on a well-being check.  The person was OK.

10:51 am, Officer spoke with someone on the phone about the procedure of replacing items that were removed from a vehicle on a previous date.

2:55 pm, Parking complaint in the 10 block of Asher Street.  Semi blocking a driveway.  Contact made and the owner was advised to move the vehicle and to not park the semi on the city street.

6:07 pm, Chillicothe resident surrendered themselves on a Municipal warrant for no seat belt.  The person was processed, posted bond and released.

6:13 pm, Officers dispatched to the 1300 block of Monroe Street reference a verbal peace disturbance.  The situation was resolved and no report.

6:28 pm, Officer out at Third and Washington Street with a stalled vehicle.  The vehicle was pushed from the roadway.

6:34 pm, Complaint received of Atkins Drive from Oak Drive to Fair Street as being extremely slick.   For safety, Officers placed traffic cones out to stop travelling and sliding on the ice.

8:38 pm, Officer out in the 700 block of Commercial Street on investigation.

8:44 pm, Complaint of C & I driver that was northbound in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street.  Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

Sunday,
At 1:22 am, Officers were dispatched to a vehicle with the lights on and a person slumped in the driver’s seat in the area of Jackson St. and Locust St.  Officers contacted the person and determined they were just tired.

At 1:50 am, Officers were dispatched to a possible illegally parked vehicle in the 1400 block of Calhoun St.  Officers contacted the driver and advised them of the complaint.

At 3:25 am, a residential alarm was sounding in the 2500 block of Short St.  Officers determined no emergency existed.

At 5:47 am, Officers responded to a business alarm in the 500 block of Business 36.  Officers determined no emergency existed.

At 7:06 am, Officers were dispatched to a suicidal person in the 2500 block of Country Club Dr.  The person was transported to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.  Officers were assisted by the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

At 9:27 am, Officers spoke with a citizen at the Police Department.about threats

At 12:21 pm, Officers attempted to contact the owner of a found dog in the 100 block of Second St.  Officers were unable to make contact.

At 12:49 pm, Officers took a report of stealing in the 300 block of Calhoun St.  The investigation is on-going.

At 12:59 pm, Officers assisted the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office with a slide off on Rt. V Hwy.

At 2:32 pm, Officers responded to possible animal neglect in the 400 block of Wise St.  Officers contacted the owner and did not discover any crime.

At 4:30 pm, Officers were dispatched to a tire on the street in the 600 block of Calhoun St.  It was removed.

At 7:41 pm, Officers were dispatched to a E911 hang-up in the 10 block of Third St.  There was no emergency.

At 11:13 pm, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1000 block of S. Washington St.  The incident was determined to be verbal and the parties separated.
