Missouri Fence Law Explained

Missouri’s complicated fence laws will be the topic of conversation at meetings throughout the state on February 12th.  University of Missouri Extension specialists will host the programs at various locations, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.

MU Extension agricultural business specialist Joe Koenen says “Missouri continues to have a complicated fence law.  He says ”Two separate laws cover the state, and they vary county to county. Both laws are subject to interpretation.”

MU Extension offers the program via the Zoom video conferencing system. The local meeting locations include:

  • Bethany at the MU Extension Center in Harrison County, 1505 Main St., courthouse basement.
  • Harrisonville at the MU Extension Center in Cass County, 201 W. Hall.
  • Hamilton at Joni’s Shed, 8380 N. Highway 13.

The fee is $25 ($15 for additional persons from the same organization). Fees cover the program and materials.
