Deputy Hits Deer En Route To A Call

A Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputy was interrupted as he was responding to a call Sunday evening.  Sheriff Steve Cox says Deputy Wilson was responding to a call in the southern part of Livingston County when a deer jumped into the path of the patrol car.  The report states the deputy was doing the speed limit and had little time to react before hitting the deer.

Cox says the 2016 patrol car would have been damaged much worse if we had not had the protective bumper and guards on the front end.

Deputy Wilson was not injured in the accident.
