Dog Days a period of stagnation or inactivity.  That certainly does not describe the activity for Livingston County Sheriff’s Department K9 Zaki over a recent 24 hour period.

Sheriff Steve Cox says in that time frame, Zaki and handler Deputy Leadbetter helped deputies in their own department, were called to assist the Chillicothe Police Department, Missouri Highway Patrol and Grundy county sheriff’s Department.

The investigations and actions resulted in the departments seizing alleged methamphetamine, Fentanyl, drug distribution equipment, drug paraphernalia, counterfeit $100 dollar bills, cash, firearms and ammunition, and stolen property.

Those investigations also resulted in as many as eight people arrested by the various agencies.
