Two new police officers that were approved by the Chillicothe City Council were hired during Monday’s Executive Session. City Administrator Darin Chappell says soon after they started looking to hire, an opportunity became available.
Chappell says the city planned to hire the officers a few months apart, but this was a unique opportunity.
The new officers are Kami Nelson and Jake Baucom. They both come to the Chillicothe Police Department from Trenton. Both are expected to start March 9th.
