The Chillicothe Middle School Science Olympiad team will move on to state competition following a first place in the regional Event. The State competition will be April 4th at Westminster College campus in Fulton, MO
Chillicothe 1st place team effort at the regional event included eighteen 1st place, three 2nd place and two 3rd place rankings out of 23 total events.
Coach Deborah Hardy says the team is very fortunate to have volunteers to mentor the students during their practice sessions. Those volunteers include: Deborah Hardy, Wayne Cunningham, Laurinda Davison, Steve & Kelly Gabrielson, Debbie Hershberger, Bill & Malinda Kieffer, and Amy Peoples.
