Some Missouri Schools Cite Caution In Closing For COVID-19

Citing the need to be cautious in the light of the COVID-19 health situation, two schools that are slightly out of the KCHI listening area have closed.

Marshall Public schools report a member of their classified staff was taken to the hospital with flu-like symptoms and several tests were run.  The test results that came back were negative.  The test for COVID-19 will not be returned for a few days.  Marshall Public Schools will be closed through Tuesday, with further announcements to be made at that time.

Kirksville Public Schools have chosen to close starting Monday (today) and will remain closed for two weeks with the decision to reopen made at that time.
