Livingston County Courthouse Now Under Restricted Access

The Livingston County Courthouse will have limited access, effective immediately.  Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says these actions were taken to protect the public and County Staff.  At this time, the public is asked to transact business with the county offices whenever possible by mail, email or phone.  If you need to come into the courthouse, you are asked to call the office you need to deal with and make an appointment.  The number to call is 646-8000, and the extension for the office you need to reach.

There is some business that will need to be done in person, including, but not limited to, filing for office or filling out an absentee ballot.

Douglas says the inside door on the north side of the courthouse will be locked and the attendant will be there to remind you of the restrictions.

To comply with the sunshine laws, the County Commission meetings will be available by phone and through an application called ZOOM.
