The river level on the Grand River at Sumner fell back below flood stage of 26 feet over the weekend, but National Weather Service officials are predicting minor flooding by late Tuesday night.
The reading Monday morning was 22.27 feet. The river will fall to near 20.5 feet by Tuesday morning. About ¾ of an inch of rain is expected in the region by late Tuesday night and the Grand River at Sumner is expected to rise to just under 28 feet by Wednesday morning.
A Flood Warning is issued, beginning Wednesday morning for the Grand River at Sumner.
