Chillicothe Police Report For The Weekend

The Chillicothe Police Department handled about 200 calls for service from Friday through Sunday.  Some of the calls include:

Friday:

2:28 AM, suspicious activity in the alleyway behind the 800 block of Elm Street.  Officers checked the area and did not locate anyone at this time.

9:57 AM, Officers responded to the 1300 block of Dorney for a Dog at Large.  Officers contacted the dog owner and issued three citations for dog at large, no rabies vaccine, and no city dog

5:09 PM, Officers responded to the 600 block of Washington Street for a report of a mower that fallen off a trailer.  Upon the Officers arrival, the owner had already recovered the mower and the roadway was clear.

06:10 PM, Officers responded to a two-vehicle non-injury crash in the 1000 block of Graves Street. One of the drivers was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.

6:44 PM, Officers responded to the 400 block of Clay Street for a report of a man breaking into a building.  Officers searched the area; however, no man was located.

 

Saturday:

12:06 AM, Officers received a noise complaint from the area of JFK and Comstock.

1:36 AM, Officers responded to the 400 block of S Washington Street for an alarm call.  The building was found to be secured.

10:43 AM, Officers recovered an abandoned bike from 1100 block of Trenton St.

3:56 PM, Officers responded to a possible domestic disturbance in the 10 block of Jennifer Ln.  Officers found the disturbance was only verbal in nature and no arrests were made.

4:28 PM, Officers responded to a dog at large running in and out of traffic near Washington and Polk Street.  With the assistance of animal control, the dog was captured and taken to the Chillicothe Animal Shelter.

4:37 PM, Officers responded to the 10 block of Jennifer Ln. and conducted a wellbeing check. The resident was transported to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment and evaluation.

 

Sunday:

12:20 AM, Officers responded to the intersection of Hwy 36 and Hwy 65 for a car fire.  With the assistance of the Chillicothe Fire Department, the fire was extinguished.

9:50 AM, Officers arrested a man at the Chillicothe Police Department who had an arrest warrant alleged domestic assault.  The man was arrested and released after posting bond.

10:35 AM, Officers responded to the 400 block of Calhoun Street and conducted a wellbeing check.  The resident was transported to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment and evaluation.

12:02 PM, Officers responded to the 600 block of S Washington Street for a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of a local business.  Both parties reported minor damage and agreed to exchange information.
