An inmate at the Chillicothe Correction Center died Saturday. The Missouri Department of Corrections released the information Monday evening, that 43-year-old Tammy Powell died at St. Lukes on the Plaza in Kansas City. The cause of death was not released, an autopsy will be performed.
Powell was serving a 12-year sentence for seven counts of possession of a controlled substance in several counties in eastern Missouri. She began serving her sentence in March of 2018.
