St. Luke’s Expands COVID-19 Testing

Hedrick Medical Center and Wright Memorial Hospital have announced expanded testing for COVID-19.

Beginning May 7th, all patients admitted to a Saint Luke’s Health System hospital, including Hedrick Medical Center and Wright Memorial Hospital, are being tested for COVID-19. The universal inpatient COVID-19 testing approach includes patients admitted for observation as well as those fully admitted as inpatients. Additionally, all patients scheduled for a surgery or procedure will be tested for COVID-19 at the local Drive-Thru clinic in Chillicothe at least 48-72 hours prior to the procedure.

Local Testing:

Testing for COVID-19 through May 11th shows an additional 88 people were tested bringing the total number tested to 612.  That includes:

Reported by Wright Memorial Hospital a total of 210 tested.  150 from Grundy County, 36 from Mercer County and 24 from other counties.

Hedrick Medical Center tested a total of 402, including 268 from Livingston County, 37 from Grundy County, 9 from Mercer County and 88 from other counties.

Referrals are still required to be tested through Hedrick Medical Center or Wright Memorial Hospital.
