State Troopers report one accident and one arrest in the area counties Tuesday.
At about 10:40 am in Daviess County, a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 35 near Winston resulted in Minor injuries for the driver. According to the report, 66-year-old Sylvester Robinson of Minneapolis was northbound and ran off the east side of the road and hit an embankment, causing his vehicle to overturn. Robinson was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was wearing a safety belt.
Also in Daviess County, Troopers report the arrest of 56-year-old Randall Tharp of Kansas City, KS for alleged possession of a controlled substance, driving while suspended, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and an improperly attached license plate. The arrest took place at about 9:00 am and Tharp was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
