Summer Reading Program For “Teens & Tweens”

The Summer Reading Programs for teens & tweens began this week and the Livingston County Library invites those ages 12-18 to participate in the 2020 summer reading program – Imagine Your Story.  The theme this year explores imagination, personal narrative, and fairy tales. Reading during summer vacation is important for teen and middle-grade students to help prevent the “summer slide,” or loss of their academic year gains.  The summer reading program is also a way to provide young readers with the motivation to read daily by offering unique reading challenges and exciting incentives.  The Young Adult Department at the library wants to support teen and middle-grade students’ literacy endeavors by providing a vast collection of books, audiobooks, Playaways, ebooks and e-audiobooks, as well as reader’s advisory to those seeking their next favorite read!

This year, because of COVID-19, there will be no in-house programs offered during the Summer Reading Program.  To find out more, call the Livingston County Library at 646-0563.

The Livingston County Summer Reading Program for teens & tweens runs through July 31st.
