A public hearing for the United Hog Systems. LLC Z-8 Sow Farm’s request for a permit to operate a Confined Animal Feeding Operation or CAFO, will be held after the Labor Day holiday. Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says the Livingston county Commission met Thursday and discussed the application and complaints.
Douglas says the Poosey group that opposes the CAFO application was in attendance for the meeting and was part of the discussion.
The date of the public hearing on the CAFO application was not announced.
