MoDOT Resurfacing On I-35

The resurfacing work on Interstate 35 in Clinton County that was expected to start this week, is now scheduled to begin June 29th.  MoDOT contractor – Herzog Contracting Corp – will begin the work to resurface I-35 between the DeKalb County line and Shoal Creek near Exit 48.

One lane of I-35 in each direction is expected to remain open throughout the project.  Due to the nature of some work, lane closures may remain up around-the-clock.  An 11-foot width restriction will also be in place for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to end in early September.

All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change. Motorists are urged to stay alert and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades and to eliminate distractions. Crews will be working close to traffic, so MoDOT reminds motorists that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
