Chillicothe R-II Budget Cuts Help Improve 2021 Reserves

The Chillicothe R-II School District Budget approved by the School Board includes $21.8 million in revenues and had more than $500,000 in cuts from last year.  Superintendent Dan Wiebers says the cuts included a freeze in the District Salary Schedule and several other cuts.

With the cuts made, the district is able to increase the reserve balance percentage for the end of the budget, but the percentage is based on the expenditures, which went down.
