Public Works Issues at Gallatin

Public Works issues were the main topics of the recent Gallatin Board of Aldermen meeting.
The power plant roof repairs are almost complete, but some piping will be needed to divert water on the south side of the plant.
Unfortunately, heavy rain while the roof was off of the building during the improvements destroyed the drop ceiling and sheetrock in the breakroom. The Gallatin Board of Aldermen approved moving forward with the renovations.
The Board approved purchasing a used standby natural gas generator for the new water plant if the generator is compatible with the water plant’s electrical system.
The Gallatin Board of Aldermen approved an agreement with a company for a sewer system smoke test.
