The Bridge on Highway 190, west of Chillicothe will be closed beginning Wednesday evening to allow for a concrete pour for the new bridge deck. The contractors will have to close the road for a few days.
Highway 190 at the Thompson River Bridge will close to traffic Wednesday, starting at 8:00 pm. Emergency vehicles ONLY will be permitted to cross the bridge beginning Thursday morning. Non-emergency traffic will not be permitted to use the bridge until Saturday at 3:00 pm.
When the bridge reopens, it will again be open to only one lane, with the 10-foot width restriction in place.
A signed detour will be in place, directing motorists over Highway 190, US 65, and Highway 6 through Trenton and Jamesport.
