Livingston County Voter Turnout Was Very Good

Voter turnout for the Livingston County Primary was 46.9%.  Livingston County Election Authority Sherry Parks had predicted 40-45% of the registered voters would head to the polls and says that was based on turn out of prior years and the items on the ballot.  She says in the past few primary elections, the turnout was about 32%, but this election had more local contested races and the Fire District and Levy, all of which boosted the number of voters.

Parks thanks the voters who took the time to cast a ballot Tuesday.  She says they had very few problems at the polls with voter registration.  She says they also had several addresses updated as voters brought in proper identification.
