Chillicothe Police Department Report For The Weekend

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 240 calls for service from Friday to Sunday.  Some of the calls include:

Friday,

8:26 AM, Officer received a report of a stolen bicycle in the 400 block of Jackson Street.  The bicycle was later recovered on 08/23/2020 and returned to its owner.

8:35 AM, Officers called to the 1500 block of Springhill to a report of a runaway juvenile.  The juvenile was located a short time later and returned to parents.

10:02 AM, Officers conducted a child neglect investigation in the 1000 block of South Washington with the assistance of the Livingston County Children’s Division.  No evidence of child neglect was discovered.

10:27 AM, Officers received a report of a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of East Bridge Street.  Officers collected evidence of domestic assault; however, the suspect was could not be located.

7:40 PM, Officers responded to Danner Park for a report of a child custody disturbance.  Officer made contact with parties involved and the issues were resolved.

8:22 PM, Officer assisted the Livingston County Children’s Division in the 200 block of Jackson Street with a report of child neglect.  No neglect was discovered at this time.

 

Saturday,

6:28 AM, Officers responded to a business intrusion alarm in the 1000 block of South Washington.  Officer determined the alarm was accidentally activated by an employee.

Officer recovered abandoned bicycles in the 1100 block of Clay Street.and the 900 block of North Washington Street.

12:22 PM, Subject came to the PD and turned himself in on a city of Chillicothe municipal warrant for failing to appear on a speeding charge.

3:17 PM, Officers called to  Simpson Park regarding a subject had driven a vehicle onto the walking trails and was causing a disturbance.  As a result, officers arrested the subject for possession of a controlled substance.

8:11 PM, Officers called to the area of Trenton Road and Litton Road for a report of an illegal burn.  Officer located a small pile of smoldering brush and determined the fire to be legal.

10:21 PM, Officers called to a residence in the 1700 block of Hickory Drive for a well being check of the resident.  A neighbor called and advised lights on in the residence were unusual as the resident usually went to bed a lot earlier.  Officer was able to make contact with the resident, who needed medical assistance.  EMS was summoned to the home

 

Sunday,

4:17 AM, Officers called to a motel in the 300 block of W. Business 36 for a man was causing a disturbance, caused property damage, and refused to leave the premises.  Officers arrested a 27-year-old man for peace disturbance, property damage, and trespassing.  He was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for medical clearance and later admitted due to alcohol intoxication.  He was cited and released.

3:05 PM, Officer received a report of theft of medication from a subject in the 400 block of Jackson Street.

10:18 PM, Officer received a report of theft from a resident in the 500 block of Calhoun Street.  Investigation continues.
