Scrub Seal Projects In NW Missouri

Scrub Seal work is nearly complete on Highway 190 and the contractor will next move to work on Highway 11 in Linn and Chariton Counties.  Vance Brothers Inc. reports they are ahead of schedule and expect to complete 190 this week, except for a five-mile section from Route Y to US 65.  That section will be completed in the spring due to the Thompson River Bridge Project.

The work on Route 11 is expected to begin next week.  That work will take place between US 24 in Chariton County and US 36 in Linn County.  During scrub seal operations, the roadway is reduced to one lane with flaggers and a pilot car directing motorists through the work zone.

One other section of roadway remains on the schedule.  That is Route 5 in Chariton County, from US 24 to the Howard County line.  That work is expected to be complete by the end of October.
